Our take
The XDJ-700 packs a lot into a small footprint. The touch screen is responsive and makes browsing tracks fast. The 16 pads are generous for a single deck. It's a great backup player or for tight spaces. However, the 4U rack height is odd – it won't fit standard 1U racks. The price is reasonable for a Pioneer player with touch screen and sound card. One downside: the 3.5mm jacks can be fragile. Overall, a solid companion player for an XDJ-RX or mixer, but not strong enough as a standalone.
